Hobbs Police Department is at it again with the Affirmative Action hiring. This bugs me because hiring minorities, just because they are minorities, is not improving on the quality of of the town safety. I feel that a person should be hired on merit and knowledge, not sex, skin color, etc. I think that interviews should be in a room where the candidate and interveiwer can not see each other. I want someone to protect my safety that wants to and knows how, whether they are white, black, green, or purple.
